Fort Lauderdale Production Studio Fox Business Liveshot Alveda King Post Trump Clinton Debate

Fox Biz Alveda King Still 10-01-16 copy

Fort Lauderdale remote studio covering the latest in the post debate fallout between Secretary Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.  Our South Florida production studio welcomed  Aveda King, the niece of iconic civil rights leader, Martin Luther King. Ms. King, an activist, Fox News contributor, and former state representative in the state of Georgia, discussed the much heated presidential debate between Secretary Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on the Fox Business Channel.    While Ms. King did not outright endorse either candidate by name, she spoke about the importance of asking for forgiveness and repenting for sins.  She also spoke about the election in terms of the next POTUS nominating future Supreme Court Justices and how she is pro life.

The debate was very heated, with both Trump and Clinton attacking one another.  Trump went after Hillary Clinton’s emails, President Bill Clinton’s alleged abuses of woman (also accusing Hillary Clinton of covering up those abuses and saying she threatened those very women).   To add fuel to the fire, Trump held a “press conference” prior to the debate with three former Clinton sexual assault accusers and Kathy Shelton, a woman who was brutally raped when she was 12 years old and Hillary Clinton was the defense attorney who got her then client, Thomas Alfred Taylor, to plead to a lesser offense of “unlawful fondling of a child under 14.”  Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, seized on the very damaging tape (released last Friday) that showed Trump speaking about women in very demeaning and insulting ways.  This tape that surfaced just days before the debate, had quite a negative impact on the Trump campaign, as prominent GOP elected officials withdrew their support for their party’s nominee.  Hillary Clinton  also continued to press and attack Trump, for not releasing his taxes, claiming he was hiding something from the American public.    (Note: The recent emails Trump referenced were the ones  Wikileaks released from John Podesta, Chairman of the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign.)

This was the second of three presidential debates between Secretary Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.  The next and last debate will take place Wednesday, October 19th at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  Clinton is currently leading Trump in national polls and key battleground states.  The election will be held Tuesday, November 8th.

Fort Lauderdale Video Production Studio Adds Tricaster Skype Talk Show

LIVE FROM FSS Still #1 copy

Our South Florida video production studio is now offering our clients (both the network news stations and small businesses we serve ) the ability to produce live and taped broadcasts, adding into the mix, a device that takes a standard Skype call and tweak audio and video settings to more resemble a professional studio liveshot.   The device, Newtek’s Talk Show, is a professional studio grade hardware that gives the studio control over a Skype call’s specific video and and audio settings such as:  adjusting the video resolution with automatic aspect ratio conversions  (so an image is not “squeezed” or “stretched”),  ability to connect to HD/SDI camera switchers (such as a Tricaster), balanced audio controls, manage multiple Skype calls by adding additional Talk Show units, built in video quality checks and access to the more than 300 million folks who have a Skype account!

The “bread and butter” of our state of the art South Florida HD Studio has always been servicing the network news stations (like Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, ESPN, CNBC, etc)  for remote guest liveshots.  Last year we expanded our studio, building out an entire green screen studio set and adding a 460 Tricaster  with Control Surface and separate control room.  The expansion transformed our liveshot studio (which had two studio sets at the time) into a full broadcast production studio (with three sets).  We added additional  services  including:  green screen video production, producing live sports broadcasts, live and taped internet shows, commercials, PSA’s, corporate video production, and anything that could be filmed against a green screen!   Our goal was to provide the same broadcast quality production that our network news/sports clients expect of us and extend our services to small businesses and individuals alike.  Those in the business of television broadcast news/sports production  know how expensive  professional video production can be!  On one side you’ve got all the vital staff needed for a given video production: camera operators, sound technicians, lighting and grip folks, producers, directors, production assistants, teleprompter operators, makeup artists, etc.  Then you add to that all the equipment needed:  cameras, lighting, audio gear, camera switchers, computers, hardware encoders and decoders for fiber transmission, teleprompter, etc.  Once you add up all the costs, it can become quite prohibitive for a small business or individual looking to produce a professional internet show or commercial!   Our solution to make professional video production more affordable to small businesses and individuals (who don’t have the budget of say Fox News or CNN) was to streamline  our in studio productions into what has become known as “LIVE FROM FSS!”  The commercial video we had produced below highlights and explains how Florida Sun Studios has brought broadcast quality production to the public we serve as our clients go “LIVE FROM FSS!”

Green Screen Fort Lauderdale Production Studio Broadcasts Strikers Futbol Away Games!

Strikers Futbol Blog Photo copy 2

Our Fort Lauderdale green screen production studio is proud to welcome The Strikers Futbol on air broadcast team to our set!    Florida Sun Studios, the same remote studio servicing all the major news and sports networks, is the exclusive uplink studio for all The Strikers away games.  Our team at FSS produces all the away broadcasts that air locally in the South Florida market on WSFL and ESPN 3.  When searching for a studio close to where The Strikers play their home games at Lockhart Stadium, FSS turned into a perfect fit for The Strikers as our studio is centrally located right in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale.  In addition, the entire league in which The Strikers compete in, the NASL, operates on the same fiber transmission network as FSS does, via LTN Global.  LTN Global is a professional, cost effective fiber transmission solution that our network news clients (such as CNN, Fox News and MSNBC for example) depend on to book our studio for remote liveshots every day. In fact, the overwhelming majority of studio liveshots that are broadcast from Fort Lauderdale are from  FSS and LTN!

Powered by a Tricaster 460 all in one camera switcher, graphics/titling machine with control surface, our production team at FSS produces the entire Strikers Futbol broadcast.  We send and receive all of our transmission via fiber on LTN’s network.  No matter where the away game is being played, (New York, Atlanta, Canada, etc) we receive a “clean feed” of the game, both video and audio.  This allows for The Strikers broadcast team, Bruce Silverman (play by play announcer) and Ed Boreth (color analyst) to see and hear in real time the action that is happening on the field that’s usually hundreds if not thousands of miles away!  We then are able to send our outbound fiber signal, which is the final composite mix of the game feed, that includes the announcers voice overs,  graphics and titles, and commercials (or the “dirty” feed as we refer to it) and then sent to LTN, who transmits our signal to it’s final destination for live broadcast on Ch 39 WSFL TV in South Florida.  Here are some highlights from the Strikers vs. Fury game on September 12th.  The game was broadcast “LIVE FROM FSS!”  (Note:  FSS did not edit this video.)  The edited video is courtesy from the Official YouTube Channel of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.
