Florida Sun Studios welcomed Fort Lauderdale based criminal defense attorney, Ken Padowitz of Padowitz Legal, to our studio set. Ken was live from our remote liveshot studio in downtown Fort Lauderdale on MSNBC’s Politics Nation Show hosted by the Reverend Al Sharpton. The case has gone to the jury and there is a “verdict watch” now. The case centers on Michael Dunne, who is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of 17 year old Jordan Davis. The shooting followed a dispute over loud music. Dunn told police he asked Davis and three other teens who were in the teen’s car parked next to him, to turn down their music. The defendant claims he was threatened and saw a gun in their vehicle. Claiming he feared for his own safety, Dunn grabbed his firearm and shot several times at the vehicle, killing Dunn. If convicted, Dunn could face life in prison.
